RELEASE IT NOT RE-LEASE IT

Butterflies represent a deep and very powerful demonstration of the life cycle.  In many cultures around the world, the butterfly signifies the soul of an individual.  A long time symbol of revitalization, many view the butterfly as embodying strength, endurance, transformation, confidence and existence. 

This month is the perfect time, to emerge as a beautiful butterfly, without the dead weight, negative energy and the culmination of disappoints you have faced.  Too often, as life progresses, we tend to hold on to the pain of negative experiences, and in doing so, we unknowingly prevent ourselves from fully moving forward with a positive mind, body and spirit. 

The power of “thinking” can impact your emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing.  You can either be full of life and energy or you can be weary and lackluster, physically drained and SICK.

When a full release of negative thoughts, actions and emotions occurs you will unknowingly raise your vibration, thereby raising the vibrations around you. Surround yourself with high vibrations and it will almost certainly be infectious.

In a few short steps, you can RELEASE the old way of thinking and welcome the new way of positive and purpose driven living.

1. Be accountable for the part you play in outcomes;
2. For every negative thought, replace it with two (2) positive thoughts (cancelling out); and,
3. Recondition yourself such that you are of aware of the power you have over your thoughts – what you eat, think, and believe will be your reality.

Be thankful and grateful for all of the joys and sadness’s that make you who you are.  When you focus on what is, instead of what isn’t, you have the power to attract even more positive energy into your life.

Avoid playing the victim by believing that “things” happen to you.  In doing so, you RE-LEASE your (negative) power to control the destiny you are trying to avoid.

TURN YOUR PASSION INTO ACTION

Every day when you rise, do you have a plan for the day? Will you meet up with an old buddy or will you change the world?

As we move into the month of February, let us all realize that the time is NOW for a movement of turning our passions into fruitful action. Passion derives from profound service. When you can identify topics of importance, you will be propelled to act on your passion, thereby also creating an environment in which others can draw from your ideas and assist you in reaching your goals.

DON’T LET FEAR KEEP YOU FROM YOUR DESTINY! You have a story to tell that nobody else has ever lived. You can do things that no one else can do – in your very own special way! You are unique and God has a specific plan just for you.

Are you questioning your purpose? Are you afraid to do what you feel like you were called to do? Do not let trepidation hold you back. If you know that you were made to make a difference (and YOU ARE!), then take the first step!

Once God sees how you step out in CONFIDENCE, HE will bless what you feel called to do, HE WILL HONOR that. HE is the GREAT I AM!

Change Is Great!

CHANGE is defined as the act or instance of making or becoming different.

When one thinks of “change,” the first instinct is “fear”due to the unknown of what’s to come. What will I lose? Will I gain? Who will it affect within my circle? An array of wild thoughts start to dance around in your head.

CHANGE within the work place, home, school, relationships/friendships, business etc at at the first thought, may be overwhelming but ONE positive and optimistic thought will work in your favor. {Life and death are not only in the power of your tongue, I believe it is in the power of your thoughts}.

CHANGE while it may appear to be a world-wind; can be great even if it means that shifts must be made to align you with you destined path. A very important element is “people enter your life for reason and season,” I say, appreciate their presence while it lasts. “Things” are just that, they are materialize and eventually diminish. Utilize them to the best of your ability to elevate you. Do not become complacent in life with neither; people or things because when God is ready to take you to the next level, it behooves you to be READY! If people have added value to your life and are appointed/privileged to the next phase of your life’s journey, they will be right there. Quality speak volume whereas Quantity only hold a numeric value. Out with the OLD…In with the NEW! Let CHANGE be CHANGE. Be an example of the CHANGE you wish to see!

Grasp CHANGE! Accept CHANGE! Be grateful for CHANGE! It will come unexpectedly, yet right on time. Be in tuned for the opportunities they present! Don’t worry…what and who God removed, he will replace with something more rewarding. Your latter will be greater than your past.

CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN SISTERHOOD

From a biblical perspective, we know that Mathew 18:20 (NIV) states “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”  In the same sense that we apply this scripture to our prayer life and goals, we can certainly apply this to cultivating our sisterhood with other women. 

In doing so we have the power to influence social change and cultural diversity in sisterhood. The greatest power you can award yourself as a woman is to create and share unbreakable bonds, with other women, from all walks of life.  This ultimately creates a force so strong that positive change in the lives of women and young girls is inevitable.

Whether it be a sorority or a national organization of women, these type of groups seek to honor the strong solidarity based on common experiences and challenges that are faced by women worldwide.  This bond provides the required support that fosters and facilitates the growth of sisterhood and will translate to better educational and professional global opportunities.

Cultural diversity in sisterhood begets the following:

• Allows women to BE themselves;
• Aids in women being able to embrace differences in beliefs and backgrounds, while setting the foundation for knowledge sharing opportunities;
• Improves community relations; and
• Promotes timely understanding and response to the multitude of issues that plague women.  

It is a given that we are all made up of various flavors and ethnicities. However, just as we all remain proud of the individual flavors we represent, REVIVING and THRIVING sisterhoods allows us to assist, bolster and remain steadfastly present in the lives of our sister friends, such that we all achieve success in our personal and professional endeavors.

Silent Pain (with Unstoppable Confidence)

Did you know that millions of Americans, mostly women, live day to day suffering from silent pain? One of the biggest misconceptions, many of these individuals face, is being ignored or belittle simply because one cannot see their disability.

Chronic illness and silent pain are one of the most difficulty impediments to identify in a person and can attack in the forms of –

Depression

Lupus

Cystic Fibrosis

Anxiety

Fibromyalgia

It is critical that we talk about these issues such that those that are saddled by this unseen burden, feel comfortable sharing with others experience. With more discussion and increased awareness, greater education and more research for cures will sought pertaining to these illnesses.

While it is understood this it is difficult to grasp what one can’t see, please know these illnesses are ever present. Oftentimes, the most fragile are the individuals that appear the strongest. Unfortunately, we live in a society where being “perfect” is the new normal – this is simply a myth. No one is perfect and EVERYONE is struggling with something. Instead of making assumptions ASK QUESTIONS, so you are better equipped to support your friends and family.

It is very ok to be broken, in fact, it makes you BeYOUtiful. If you are suffering in silence – STOP and allow your closest friends to get to know you; including any disabilities you face. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.  In our time of need, it will be our friends and family that carry us through.

Check on your friends and family members. Your care and concern just might be the PUSH needed to get through the day!

The words we tell ourselves, on a daily basis can either give life or death to the situations faced. Words frame our thoughts and for some of us, kick our confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, pride, joy, happiness and beauty. Instead of speaking to ourselves, the lies, the negativity, the evil, we must start speak promise over our thoughts and over our lives.

DECLARE and DECREE that this year will improve from last. It is all too easy to dwell on everything wrong versus dwelling on the progress. It is right before your eyes! Everyday an opportunity to learn, to grow, flourish, break a habit, just LOVE a little bit more. Pick up a hobby you enjoy but possibly let slide, add to the business plan, surround yourself with likeminded individuals full of love and hope, dance, exercise and PRAY for others. Project the joy you desire to receive. Remember what you blow out BLOWS BACK.

As we begin 2019, DECLARE & DETERMINE YOUR DESTINY WITH CONVICTION! Remind yourself that you are WORTHY, you are GREAT, and there is PURPOSE for your existence.

The Power of Encouraging Yourself & Others

As we move into the final month of 2018, Sister’s Inspiring Sisters would like to encourage each and every one of our readers to be of good encouragement, for yourself and others.

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging of one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near”  (Hebrew 10:  23-25).

The more you bless, encourage and help others, the more richness you will experience in your personal life.  Luke 6:38 says “Give, and it shall be given unto you;  good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall man give into your bosom.  For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”.

Blessing others does not always translate to monetary gifts. Blessings and words of encouragement are just as important, if not more important than monetary gifts. This positive way of thinking, when done regularly and consistently, not only develops a habit, but also conditions the individual to a positive way of thinking. Who wouldn’t want to share this internal joy with others?!

On a daily basis, practice identifying ways to be of good encouragement to yourself and others. Eliminate the judgments, opinions and critiques, and replace them with words of wisdom, positive encouragement and good cheer. Start with self by committing to keeping a daily journal of encouraging thoughts that you can live by and share with others. Find every opportunity to take negative thinking and replace with positive affirmations.

Whether you’ve just had a setback, chasing your dreams, been rejected by someone you care about, faced tragedy, or you’re just feeling drained from the ups and downs of this journey we call life, remember that situations and feelings can turn around in an instant.  All you have to do is keep moving forward, even when it feels like it would be easier to simply lay down and give up.

Experience an “AH-HA” Moment!

I am reminded of the song; “Fish don’t fry in the kitchen; Beans don’t burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin’ Just to get up that hill. Now we’re up in the big leagues. Gettin’ our turn at bat. As long as we live, it’s you and me baby, There ain’t nothin wrong with that.  We’re moving on up to the east side, to a deluxe apartment in the sky. Almost as if you are carried first class, non stop to your destination of purpose. It surely a great feeling. It is that moment in time that you are to cherish. September 10, 2018, I received a promotion that allows grand opportunities to “go and grow!” What a mighty maker I serve. Times of doubt, despair and lack of patience paid off.  Excited to have me become a part of their amazing team and I was humble and happy to board on my train towards great endeavors. Already setting the tone, I would  hone in on what’s needed to excel and make my mark one step, one day at a time.

As a natural born leader with characteristics that passionately align, I am destined to walk in that career field that is destined for me. Unsuccessfully trying to position myself in the right place, knowing that I not only wanted more but deserved more, challenges arose on the left and right but I somehow kept the faith even during the most trying times.

The substance of things hoped for, the  evidence of things not seen (all you need is a little bit)

My moment came and I could not have been more excited because I see the light and know that there is so much more to this journey. I proclaim it to be journey where I will gain wisdom, knowledge, processes and policies; come across some of the most influential people (much like myself) who are going places and challenging me to be better and do far more than what I expected. I will not set limits on my life; my destiny, yet my mind will remain, open, positive and free to take in the information that will enhance my mission and vision.

I think of the past then am reminded that God of this….

I am so grateful that I am in the plan, thoughts, mind, heart of a creator that sets that stage for my grand entrance. Here I am. In the place to be. Just know, there is a whole lot of room in this world for each and every one of us to elevate to the next level but its up to you. You are avid team player. If you desire more, you will have it. If you are stagnant, then you won’t.

 

Create ah-ha moments that will leave you in awe and thank the almighty for granting you the authority to rule within the position with poise and excellence as you represent both HIM and YOU 100%.

Change Starts With ME!

Had you ever taken a moment and thought that change actually starts with self?

Take a look in the mirror and affirm….

The “CHANGE” THAT I WANT TO SEE MUST START WITH ME!

Throughout life; past, present and future, you will experience circumstances that may  have you feeling as if those within our presence could have said something different, done something better and/or acted in a way more nicer; however, most times that is their character, their very own personality. In fact, it may be their authentic way of being. While we all have a slew of imperfections, we mustn’t be bias about another persons individuality. It may be tough but accepting people for who they are; where they are in life can be one of the most rewarding feelings ever. It can prove to be a exceptional accomplishment overtime.

I must admit, adaptation can be challenging but its not impossible. The best way to handle it in this instance is to channel any/all negative thoughts into positive ones. Do not concentrate on their imperfections rather work on your response so that your attitude will reflect one that is inspiringly impactful and received well. Do yourself a gratifying favor and make an honest effort to do the right thing all the time despite all. You will thank yourself later.

Let the change start with you! Becoming a better being and prove that being bitter does not have to be so. When we know better, we do better. Right? This was a practiced lesson for me.

I remember times when I would become so irritated by those who would do things and /or respond differently than I. For some apparent reason, I didn’t quite understand. Only to have a revelation later that we all have flaws and strive every day to work on our inadequacies.

When you do the right thing, your diligent efforts will produce positive outcomes within and around you. Its infectious and causes a “Rippling Effect”

Just know, we all sing a different tune but are one in the same when we harmonize together. Simply stated, we can accomplish a lot together versus as a divided entity.

One Life to Live!!!

Do you believe that is it important to LIVE…LAUGH…LOVE? Take a moment to reflect upon this question. What did you come up with?

Well, I believe to LIVE, LAUGH and LOVE is essential for various reasons.  I will briefly share my thoughts and sincerely hope you are in agreement. Afterwards, incorporating this awesome way of living henceforth may be of great benefit to you.

While there are things happening around you 24/7; things you must tend to; things that require your time…your energy…your hands in the pot; be sure to set boundaries so that you do not become overwhelmed. They will get done one way or another! I have come to realize that I/we have ONE LIFE TO LIVE and if it involves the hustle and bustle of ensuring that everything and everyone else around us is A ok and we aren’t, we must do something different. We must add another ingredient to the mixture. The EXCEPTIONAL EQUATION must incorporate YOU!

It is imperative that you do something for yourself every single day that would make you proud of being YOU! Repeat this, “I ___________ (state your name) will make sure that TODAY, I do something for myself that will make me proud.”  Now, whatever that may be, only you would know.

Think about it, what is life if you do not take time to enjoy it; plain and simple.

I love this statement by the late, great, Maya Angelou. It is true; adding the most intricate ingredients of life: PASSION, COMPASSION AND HUMOR to your daily attire will surely bring upon a day… a moment of BLISS! Your desire to impressively THRIVE merely SURVIVE will be right on point. Right?!?

You actually have a choice. Its not as complex as it seems. It is a matter of saying, “Today, I will make a change within my life that will gratifyingly benefit ME!” This is not being selfish or arrogant; better yet, it is the results of a self-made decision to treat yourself better. It is the opportunity to share some of the kindness that you sprinkle within your surroundings and abroad with, guess who;  YOU!

Do not entertain your inner voice nor let it deter in any way. Most importantly, do not begin to create all types of excuses; “I do not have time” (FIND TIME), nor money (SEARCH FOR FREE/LOW COST), nor friends (ME TIME IS THE BEST TIME), nor things to do (PAINT/READ/SCRAPBOOK) to do, nor places to go (BEACH/ROAD TRIPS/MOVIES/WALKS/VOLUNTEER)!

If you want to create a better life for yourself, start with a reintroduction to self. Learn more about your likes and dislikes, your visions and dreams, your goals and plans action. Treat yourself to something that you like every day. It does not mean that you have to spend money. Get into the habit of making yourself a priority,

WHY…because you only have ONE LIFE TO LIVE!
